CHANGING PATHS WITH CHILDREN
A class for families experiencing divorce or custody issues
This video/discussion-based curriculum will help you understand the needs of your children during this time of transition and guide you in focusing clearly upon your childrens’ best interests.
Curriculum includes:
- The effects of divorce on men and women
- What your child is learning from you
- Developmental stages of children
- The child’s psychological reaction to divorce or parental separation
- How to avoid communication parenting mistakes
- How to keep your children “out of the middle”
- How to tell if your child is in trouble
- The art of cooperative parenting
- Developing a parenting plan
This class meets the requirements of the District Court of Lancaster County and has been approved by the State Court Administrator as outlined in Nebraska LB554 (January 2008).

The Level I parenting education class is offered as it is requested. We generally hold this class about once a month, during the day between 9am and 5pm, and it is a 3-hour class. Realizing the need for in-person classes, we continue to offer the class as needed. Once we have several individuals who have requested the class, we find a date that works for them and hold a class. Classes are $40. The Level II parenting education class is taught more as a one-on-one (gender specific) class and is also scheduled as needed during the day, between 9am and 5pm. This class is a 2-hour class. We may have more than one person in the class if we have a couple individuals who express the need for this class about the same time. Classes are $90. |
